Getting to know you...

Today I am joining MannLand5 in Getting to Know YOU. Head on over to the site and link up.

The questions..

1. Do you have a fetish?

LOL I use to. I am a bit of a masicist. Just beat me, whip me, and call me Betty! But only in Bed and only with a safe word... Now I have kind of grown out of it. In fact C does not like it when Hubby and I make Love at all. She Turns sideways and tries to rip my Uterus into a million pieces. I think she is going to be a Nun, Not that I'm complaining.

2. Do you sing in the shower?

And in the car, and in the tub, and in the living room, and well everywhere. I love to sing. Sing it Loud and Sing it Proud. Heck, we are starting a Youth Community Theater Group to relive (well not really the reason but you get the point!) our Youth.

3. Who was your first crush?

OMGoodness Lee B! He was a boy at my church who was about the same age as me. I was about 5-7 and I LOVED him. He was a blond, blue eyed HUNK!

4. What do you think is the best manly trait a guy could have?

Nice Legs. I love my Husbands Legs! I feel in lust because he wore shorts to a football game. FOR REAL! That and he had a nice car :)

5. Do you sleep naked?

I use to but not since A was born. For some reason If I get up (all the time!) I have to put something on and it just got easier to leave the clothes on LOL.

6. What do you do when (you think) no one is looking?

Pick my nose and pull my undies out of my bumm.

7. What's the first thing you do when you go online?

Check my facebook, then check Chatter Scene, then Blogger.

8. Summer is.....?

Really hot when your pregnant, And my least favorite season.

I realized Last night

When my wonderfully honest 2 year old informed me that my hair had "sparklies" (damn gray hair!)that I'm going to be *gasp* 30 this year. I don't feel it. Early Gray Hair runs in my family and with being pregnant I have seriously neglected my hair. I haven't had a hair cut or even a trim in well over 8 months. I just want to know what happened between this
(yes I am taking a nap on a bread rack! I think I'm about 4)

and THIS!
(When did I turn into the crypt keeper?)

After Charlie is born I think it is time for some serious maintenance! How did I let myself become this huge, dumpy person? Ok, end of my self pity rant!

This one is super easy for me. The birth of my daughter. She is the most wonderful thing that could have happened to me. I didn't know how I would be as a mother, no clue. I didn't expect to LOVE being a mommy. I didn't expect it all to come naturally to me. However, I also didn't expect the PPD. I didn't expect that I wouldn't be able to set her down or let my hubby have her for the 2 minuets it took me to go to the bathroom. Thank god for my wonderful husband who told me I needed to talk to my doctor or He would. I hope its not as bad this time with Charlie, but I'm prepared for it this time if it does happen.

These bags are so stinkin cute!

I love the blog Baby Makin{g} Machine. Love her writing! She is doing a virtual baby shower which I think is a GREAT idea. One of her giveaways right now is the Pre-packed hospital bag from Babytime Bags They look so nice. I want one!

Like Jennifer said on her blog "The cost of a Babytime Bag is nearly HALF of what you would pay if you purchased everything individually that is included in this must-have carryall (not to say how much time you will save!). Also, as you will soon find out, this bag will come in handy with your new little one because you can never have enough bags."

Wanna see what I did today?

I went to a scrapbooking event all day today that our Ladies Fire Auxiliary hosted today to help 2 local Charities, The Davis Family (Son is very ill to help with medical or travel expenses)and God's store house (our local food bank). I got a huge amount done and am all caught up finally. I even managed to do a page for Charlie of her ultrasound pictures. I feel like I accomplished something major LOL. It only took 9 1/2 hours :)

Thanks for looking!

Busy Busy Busy Time!

So I dont even know where to start with what is going on in my life right now and I feel like it is all good. My BF Candi and I are starting a Youth Community Theater Program here in Risingsun. So far the response has been AWESOME! We are going to be picking a play here very soon and starting the whole "play" aspect of things. I'm super excited for this. I wanted a way to become more involved in my community and this is just perfect. Our program is going to be all about teaching children respect, which is seriously lacking in my opinion in our community. Hopefully it goes well. By starting Risingsun Youth Community Theater we are able to help a family who means the world to our community. This family (I know the mother best) has been VERY involved in our school district's music programs for a VERY long time. Amy C was my high school show choir choreographer. Their family just lost their home on Tuesday and we are going to be hosting a Talent Show benefit early next month. Because of this families involvement with music I think this could be the perfect way to show them that our community cares for them and get the Youth involved in helping out. I also went to a scrapbooking event all day today that our Ladies Fire Auxiliary hosted today to help 2 local Charities, The Davis Family (Son is very ill to help with medical or travel expenses)and God's store house (our local food bank). We raised about $126 for each today. I love that I feel like I am getting a life again.

My Friend over at Raisingmy4sons has reviewed and IS GIVING AWAY one of these very cute bags from Paulina Carcach! I looked up the handbags online and ADORE the ALEXA - GUNMETAL GREY LAMBSKIN LEATHER SHOULDER AND SATCHEL BAG. Isn't it beautiful? I want to Hug it, and squeeze it and I shall call her Fiona (I watched the previews for Shreck 3 last night LOL)! I want it. But I don't want to pay $139.00 for it. Yes I'm thrifty like that :) So, I'm blogging about her giveaway for a chance to win it! There are so many ways to enter her giveaways and most are super easy! Head on over there and see what she has to giveaway and join in the fun!

A Night Out!

Did you have a night out with friends or a loved one that rocked your world? Who was there? What was the highlight of the night?

I love watching Chris and Angie's 2 boys. One, they are great kids who I really love, and most importantly (well for this anyway LOL) Two, Angie watches Addison overnight one night a month so I can Have a night out with Mike. This is our Date night, our time together, to reconnect.

I think the best one so far has been the one about 5 months ago when we went to P.F. Chang's (super Yummy!)and then we just goofed around like 16 year olds for about 2 hours in Walmart and ended up buying 2 board games and coming home and playing them. It was great.

Sometimes I think we just need this time to remember why we love each other and how we just "get" one another. I wouldn't change my life for anything but there are times when I just need that adult time to not have to have the answer to "Why? Whats this?, whats that?".

My peaceful moments

Write about a moment of peace. An hour or a day or a week of solitude, the state of your mind? How did you get there?

What are my peaceful moments? Looking at Addison when she is sleeping.

Sinking into a bathtub at the end of a long day or sinking into a nicely made bed and being pleasantly tired.

Seeing my daughter play with her daddy and both of them sharing secrets. Seeing all my family together and everything just clicking into place.

I love the feeling of my heartbeat slowing my breath evening out and everything coming into focus. I try to get this at least once a day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just always want to remember to be thankful for the times when I do feel peace. Now its nap time so Mama is going to go watch her baby sleep.
